Tel-Aviv, Israel — Vdoo Connected Trust Ltd., a pioneer in security automation for embedded devices, announces that it has entered into a partnership agreement with Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (DNP), a leading printing and information technologies group in Japan, who offers comprehensive cyber security solutions for embedded systems among other services.
The partnership will help vendors in Japan to improve the security state of their embedded devices by utilizing Vdoo solutions. Among the solutions are Vision™, for automated security analysis and mitigation; ERA™, an on-device agent for ongoing protection against known and unknown threats; CertIoT™ physical and digital certification for signaling the security posture of the device and for better market differentiation; Quicksand™ honeypot for predictive security and Whistler™ real-time intelligence for new threats notifications.
“The rising awareness of cyber threats that IoT devices hold leads to a great demand for the end-to-end solution Vdoo offers — especially in the Japanese market, where the product’s security becomes an integral part of the product quality,” said Kenshi Tani, General Manager of Cyber Security Business Dev. Unit at DNP. “Moreover, the regulation is progressing towards practical limitations that will require manufacturers to design products with an enhanced security state.”
“The significance of Vdoo’s partnership with DNP in Japan relies on DNP’s advanced security practice, as well as the strong relationships DNP has with manufacturers of connected devices and embedded systems,” said Uri Alter, Co-CEO at Vdoo. “We believe this partnership will lead to the vast implementation of Vdoo’s security platform in the market segments DNP works with, which will lead, all-in-all, to better security of the entire ecosystem.”
DNP’s customers can enjoy a free trial of Vision™, Vdoo’s automated security analysis and mitigation solution suitable for different embedded devices. Using Vision™, DNP’s customers can analyze their devices’ firmware and receive a detailed sample report with device-specific security requirements. These requirements can be easily implemented based on the detailed mitigation guide that is automatically generated by Vision™.
The sample report also provides visibility into their devices’ components, including software and hardware bill of materials (BOM). Moreover, the analysis process includes guidance towards compliance with leading global IoT security standards and requirements such as CCDS, NIST, ENISA, DCMS, IoTSF and others.
DNP develops products and services that solve challenges for corporate clients, consumers and society, while continuously generating value for the society of the future by combining strengths in both printing and information technology.
